⅚ Soccer Season Recap

First, let’s get a recap of the fantastic ⅚ soccer season. This will include scores, their record, and goal scorers / MVPs.

Scores:

  • The team beat St. David's school 3-2 in the opening game of the season. The result boosted the team's morale highly.

  • Then they demolished Windward school 6-0, not a very surprising win. It was over at the half ;)

  • Then they lost to St. Bernard’s 2-1. The game was in favor of St. Bernards, but they fought hard to keep the score low.

  • The team tied St. Davids, an upsetting draw, judging that Browning beat them 3-2 at the beginning of the season.

  • In the season’s highest-scoring game for the ⅚ panthers, the panthers came out on top by a landslide 7-2 victory. Aarav Mohan of the fifth grade got a hat-trick which all came from assists of Evan West, also in fifth grade.

  • We played Winward yet again and, yet again, pummeled them 5 nil.

  • The team went 4-1-1 at the end of the season.

MVPs:

We’d also like to highlight some spectacular players that have helped the team greatly throughout the season. First up is Aarav Mohan, a fifth-grade striker who wound up with 5 goals at the end of the season. Second, also a fifth-grader, is Ethan Salama-Caro. A lovely left midfielder, Ethan is not too selfish but definitely knows how to bang one into the back of the net (He also had 5 goals). Next, we move on to some sixth graders. Charlie Fascitelli and Christophe Kent added a lot to the team. Christophe is a great free-kick taker but also moves dynamically on the ball. Charlie plays right midfield and knows precisely where to be on the pitch.

We had some great players this fall, and it was one of the many reasons we had such a good record at the end of the season.

5th Grade Basketball

The basketball season is sure to be an interesting one due to many people trying out and the fact that the amazing Mr. P and Coach Stoler are coaching. In the 5th grade, 20 people are tried out. This season is sure to be unique because of the practice at the club Let's Play, where you can play knockout on a mini-hoop. As a let’s play knockout champion, I can say that the practice and level of play there will surely hone your skills to a higher level than before. Rosters for basketball were  posted on the Fitness Room door (room 402) during club on Thursday 11/11.
