7/8 Soccer

The soccer season is over, and Browning worked hard this year, so let's dive into the games. The soccer season ended with a 5-4-2 record, a bit better than Browning's  6-6 record. Our team captains this year were Elliot Smith and Maximiliano Kothari. Our first four games were a win, but one between the third and fourth games got canceled. The first game against Riverdale was a 6-2 win, LREI 5–0. Saint Hildas and Hughes, after we lost 1-2 last year, won 1-0 this year, and finally a 4-3 win against Trevor. After this, our win streak was lost with a 0-8  loss to Saint Bernard's and a 0-3 loss to Columbia Grammar. Our next games were on-and-off losses to ties. With a 1-all tie to Lycee, a 1-5 loss to Grace Church, a 2-2- tie to Calhoun, and the final game with the whole team a 1-5 loss to UNIS. Our last season game with the 8th grade on the DC trip was a 3-0 win against Buckley. This season was great overall, and as the 8th graders go to V and JV soccer and the 7th grade becomes leaders of the ⅞ soccer team, I wish them good luck. Thank you for a wonderful season!
