Middle School Coffee House
The Coffeehouse was a fun and interesting show this year, full of inspiring music and beautiful pieces.
The first piece played was by Julius Riccardi, who played an amazing piano piece that captivated me. It was full of exciting twists and turns going from light and fluffy to dark and scary in seconds.
The second person to go was Hunter Klein, who played piano and made a beautiful and tricky piece of music sound easy and great.
The third person was the violinist Jonathan Wee, who played a seemingly never ending and yet transformative piece of music that would twist and turn and seem to stop but then continue. I found myself even laughing out of enjoyment.
The fourth person who played an instrument was Artin Majidi, who played a beautiful sonet on the piano and it was delightful..
The next piece was a duet by Austin Candidato and Lucas Jaio, with Lucas on the piano and Austin playing the violin. The piece they played was long and full of staccato, where the music bounced and other times when the music felt like a lazy river.
The next group was the middle school rock band who played Hey Jude and Seven Nation Army. Their songs were well played and had quite a lot of piano. They were on beat with their drummer, Malachi.
The next piece was by the upper school band. They played excellent guitar and had a great drummer and singer.
The last group was the senior rock band. Their drummer was amazing and so was their singer. I really enjoyed the Coffee House and if you were there I hope you enjoyed it too.
