⅞ Basketball red

 By Artin Majidi

The ⅞ grade Red Team commenced their season with a win over Cathedral at home in Equinox, beating them 38 to 26 in favor of the Panthers’. In the following game, despite putting up a good fight against Grace Church School, the Panthers would come short five points in the away game, losing 41 to 46. Their next game, away at Riverdale, also had an unsatisfactory outcome for Browning, as the Panthers suffered their most extensive loss so far, only putting up 25 points on the board, as contrasted with Riverdale’s 47. In their third game, Browning would suffer their second worst loss this season, away at Allen-Stevenson school, losing by an eighteen point deficit; 31 to 49. Although Browning has had a substandard establishment to their season so far with a record of 1-3, they have a chance to compensate for their inadequate performance on December 19th when they play their rivals, Columbia Prep, home at Equinox.

⅞ Basketball Black

By EJ Matejevich

The ⅞ black team has a record 0-3, a challenging start to the 2023-2024 season. Though they have been playing well, the three teams they have played so far, Riverdale, Grace Church, and Winward, were very difficult to beat. Grace Church beat the ⅞ Black Team 35-25. Riverdale beat the ⅞ Basketball Black team 68-32. Windward beat the ⅞ Basketball Black team 46-30. Despite having lost three of their games, they have a ton of potential.

6th Basketball

By EJ Matejevich

6th Grade Basketball has a record of 0-1. The 6th Grade Basketball team was very close in winning to St. Bernards who only beat them by three points. The score was 44-41. This is the same school that has also beat the 5th Grade team. I predict the 6th grade team will have a very successful season due to the amount of points they have scored in the first game. I look forward to seeing how their season plays out.

5th Grade Basketball

By EJ Matejevich

5th Grade Basketball has had a very tough start to their season. They have a record of 0-1. They have lost to Saint Bernards 27-4, a very skilled team. Like the ⅞ Basketball Black team, they have a lot of potential and will get many wins as they progress through the basketball season. Like the 6th Grade Basketball Black team, I am excited to see their season play out.
