7/8 Soccer Team by Jameson Pi, Khalid Alsuad and Theodore Yang

The Browning 7/8 Soccer Team is starting out great without a loss in sight! With great wins by several points. Can they keep this spotless record until the playoffs? With very few teams left to compete against they might win the championship! It almost seems like they could actually win this season.

But first we need to compare from how they did last season where they had 2 ties, 4 losses and 5 wins, scoring a 69.23% win rate. This year they are doing much better with 85.71% win rate with 4 wins, 25 goals scored and only 2 conceded. They have not lost anything yet!

The feedback from co-captains Evan and Noah really sound like they are just as confident as the results show: “This season is going great, we’re at the top of the league, undefeated and it seems that we’re pushing ourselves.” If you want to try out for a school sports team they both have great tips for being a good team player. “During tryouts don’t be selfish and work as hard as you can. Also be open-minded to be a good team player and give the idea a try.” -Evan and Noah. So if you want to try out for a team make sure to follow their advice not only for soccer but for a wide range of sports. No matter what the cuts are or who is trying out, do your best. Always, do your best. And even if you do not make the team you know that you still did your best and that you will always get better too. Last week they played against Columbia Grammar and the score was 0-3 for Columbia, yet their first loss of the season could not compare to how much they won. This week they played against Trevor Day School as the last match of the season the score was 4-1 for Browning! Nonetheless they have had a spectacular season so far!! They have had only 1 loss!

Thank you so very much Evan and Noah for letting us interview you.
