MLB Playoffs

Major League Baseball (MLB) postseason is an annual playoff elimination tournament held to determine the champion of MLB in the USA and Canada. This Championship is known as the World Series. It is held in October every year. 

In 2024 the Tigers, Mets,Yankees, Phillies, Guardians, Dodgers, Padres and the Royals made it to the playoffs. Below are some of the 2024 postseason highlights. 

Phillies vs Mets series:

Nick Castellanos walked it off for the Phillies to snatch a win and tie the series 1-1  against

their rivals, The New York Mets. Francisco Lindor, a 30 year old from the Mets hit a grand slam in game 4 against the Phillies to make it 4-1

Dodgers vs Padres series:

Shohei Ohtani from the Dodgers hit a three run home run in the 2nd inning against the Padres in game 1. Max Munchy hit a 2 run single in the 1st inning for the Dodgers against the Padres. 

Guardians vs Tigers series:

Lane Tomas from the Guardians hit a grand slam in game 5 in the 5th inning against the Tigers to make it 5-1.The fans witnessed a crazy leap from Brayan Rocchio from the Guardians to catch the ball against the Tigers in game 5.

Dodgers vs Mets series:

Mookie Betts from the Dodgers hit a three run double in the 8th inning to make it 9-0 against the Mets in game 1. Mark Ventos, a 24 year old, hits a grand slam in the top of the 2nd to make it 6-0 Mets against the Dodgers in game 2. Showhei Ohtani hit a solo home in the 1st inning in NYC against the Mets.  Showhei Ohtani hit a solo home in the 1st in NYC against the Mets.

Yankees vs Guardians series:

 Aaron Judge from the Yankees hits a two run homer in the top of the 8th to tie it at 3-3 against the Guardians. David Fry walks it off for Clevlend in the 10th with a two run home run.

So far in the postseason, both the New York teams the NY Mets and the NY Yankees are still in the playoffs.The 2 other teams that are in the playoffs are the Guardians and the Dodgers.
