Round-Up: Browning Winter and Spring Sports

Hello all, today we are going to discuss the winter sports season and the spring sports season. The ⅞ red team places 1st in their season with a 15-1 record. This is monumental to Browning because they are one of the few teams to achieve it. While the ⅞ black team got a 7-8 record. Both teams had worked hard and you can see by the score just how hard they worked. Although some may not consider this a real winter sport the ⅞ winter running club practiced daily and got better each time so that they could be ready for their next season whether it be, baseball, track, squash, etc. Finally, let's make sure to congratulate the ⅞ red players on their victory.

Now let's shift to spring sports. The ⅞ baseball team has been working hard. In the Nycal league, they placed 4 out of 4. Although the score doesn't look good, they sure have improved. Before they were losing by 10 but now they are only losing by a few points. Who knows, we still have a lot of time left so we could make a comeback! For the 7/8 track, they have been working hard practicing Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and having meets on Tuesdays. On their most recent track meet, Baker a 8th grader placed 1st in the 800m and the 1600m. For the team part Dashel, Barack, Blake, and Andrew placed 1st in the 4 x 100. This is very good because our team already has 3 wins this season and they still have a couple of meets left so give them a few more weeks and who knows maybe they will be 1st in everything. Finally for tennis, golf, and squash it's either an upper school team or we don't have the information. Thanks for reading and come back for the next issue for an update.
