Interview: Chef Padilla - How Food Surveys have Affected the Cafeteria
As many of us are aware, the 5/6 student council sent out multiple surveys about food at Browning. As a follow-up to this, the Monthly Panther is providing an interview with Chef Padilla about how the surveys have affected the cafeteria. The interview is here:
Jackson Sullivan: So, the food surveys were meant to collect information. Was the information similar to what you expected?
Chef Padilla: It was way past what I expected. I thought it would be simple and it was very specific. I thought it would be helpful and it was very helpful.
Jackson Sullivan: In response to this information, was the menu changed? If so, how?
Chef Padilla: I gave you all a lot more of your favorite meals. For example, instead of once or twice each year, maybe three or four times a year.
Jackson Sullivan: What did you think was the most interesting piece of information collected?
Chef Padilla: I thought the most interesting part was the snack and dessert sections. I thought it was only lunch, but it included dessert and lunch as well.
Jackson Sullivan: We haven’t talked much about the first food form. Is there anything you would like to say about that?
Chef Padilla: The first form from the 5/6 Student Council was very helpful. Making sure students get the correct portions is important.
Jackson Sullivan: Is there anything else you would like to say about the form?
Chef Padilla: We want to make sure all students get a fair portion of food/snacks/desserts to ensure everyone in the school can enjoy them as well. Please keep your suggestions coming!
