Winter Coffee House
On February 21st there was the 72nd annual winter coffeehouse in the Kurani Gym. The event was well attended with Upper School and Middle School students along with their family members. Everyone who came was able to enjoy watching the students perform with instruments or through singing or spoken words. The event lasted around 6pm - 7pm after school. There were various performances on piano, violin, guitar and also featured the Middle and Upper School rock bands, singing and poem readings. The favorite performance of many was the Middle School rock band singing Mockingbird and 4 Nation Army. There were yummy foods and drinks such as soda, pizza and doughnuts. This annual event was organized by Ms. Hickok who kicked off the evening with a solo performance on the guitar. This coffeehouse was an excellent way for students to showcase their musical talents to other students and family. It also allowed families to get together after school. Every Fall, Winter and Spring there Browning hosts an exceptional Coffeehouse, each time better in some way. The list of solo Middle school performances went with Truman Bryant with the Violin and Piano. Then Jameson Pi played the acoustic guitar, his first ever performance. Alexandrous with a poem. Om said a poem and the piano which was saying spring is almost here. And there were many more performances that night. It was overall a fun and fantastic event and I cannot wait for the next one.
